Loblaws Bowmanville Celebrates Grand Reopening with Fresh Food, Expanded Offerings and Community Giveaways
BRAMPTON, ON, July 17, 2026 – Loblaws Bowmanville is excited to celebrate its grand reopening, offering a refreshed shopping experience designed to bring customers more fresh food, convenience and choice. Located at 2375 Durham Regional Highway 2, Loblaws Bowmanville will celebrate its refreshed store with a grand reopening event on Friday, July 17, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
“We’re excited to welcome customers back to a refreshed store built around the way people shop today,” says Kyle Short, Store Manager. “From fresh prepared meals and specialty departments to expanded everyday essentials, our goal is to make each visit easier, more enjoyable, and full of great options for any occasion.”
Located along historic Highway 2, one of Ontario’s oldest transportation corridors, Loblaws Bowmanville continues to serve as a convenient one-stop destination for the local community. Customers will find a broader, easier-to-shop assortment throughout the store, including:
Fresh and Prepared Meals: An improved prepared foods department with expanded ready-to-eat, ready-to-heat and hot meal options, plus a brand-new sushi department, hot and cold counters, and Romanaccia sandwiches.
Specialty Food Departments: Expanded deli, meat and seafood counters, along with a dedicated specialty cheese wall offering more variety for daily meals, entertaining and special occasions.
Bakery, Cakes and Floral: Fresh in-store baked goods, a dedicated cake counter and an improved floral department for celebrations, gatherings, gifting and special moments.
Expanded Everyday Selection: A larger assortment of natural foods and dairy, plus an expanded bulk section featuring pantry staples, snacks, baking items and specialty products.
In-House Pharmacy: The pharmacy gives customers easier access to grocery and pharmacy needs in one trip.
Store Manager Kyle Short brings 13 years of experience with Loblaws to the Bowmanville team. Over his career, he has held progressive roles starting as Night Crew Manager and working his way to up Assistant Store Manager at four locations. He began his Loblaws career in Toronto and has now been part of the Bowmanville community for nearly three years.
As part of its commitment to the community, Loblaws Bowmanville will be donating $5,000 to the Nancy LeBlanc Foundation through the Seeds of Hope Project, a community-led initiative focused on supporting local families and helping address food insecurity across the Durham Region. Loblaws Bowmanville is proud to employ 130 colleagues helping serve the community and bring fresh, convenient options close by. The store will be open Sunday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
