Shoppers Drug Mart cashier Tania Norris, is interacting with a customer during checkout.

Every day, Tania Norris focuses on one simple goal – making people happy. As the last person that customers see before they leave the store, she knows that a friendly farewell can make all the difference.

For Tania, being a cashier at Shoppers Drug Mart is about more than just scanning items. It’s about creating real connections in the welcoming town of Perth, Ontario. “It’s really pretty here and people are very friendly,” she says with a smile. “Everybody waves at each other.”

This small-town warmth is something Tania brings to her work every day. She sees many of the same faces and she knows that a simple chat can mean the world. She wants every customer to feel appreciated and heard before they walk out the door.

Tania’s caring spirit is something her whole team shares. They support each other through everything, and she knows she can count on them, even if it’s just for a hug on a tough day. “I like hugs,” she shares with emotion. “They just make you feel good.”
